I had purtsues $3 perfumes (when they’re that cheep they are called body sprays) from Walmart. Within a few months to a year you cloud only smell the alcohol in it. About a year or two later my aunt showed me her Jo Malone colognes. I was sold. They didn’t smell like alcohol at all.
I had heard about Jo Malone before when looking up what Princess Kate Middleton’s favorite cologne was (Orange Blossom). From what I know the British Royals use Jo Malone. Princess Diana also used Jo Malone (Wild Bluebell).
Soon I got the chance to do to the Jo Malone counter at Dillard’s. The gentleman there was very helpful and let me smell the colognes. I was able to find my signature scent: Peony and Blush Suede. The gentleman also showed me a favorite combination he liked: Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne pared with the English Pear & Sweet Pea Cologne; which I would highly recommend. When I told him that a favorite author of mine liked the Red Roses Cologne and the Grapefruit Cologne, I think he thought a combination, which he put on a perfume stick for me. The Grapefruit Cologne is too citrusy for me, but pared with the Red Roses Cologne it smells amazing.
My Favorites from Jo Malone:
- Wood Sage & Sea Salt
- English Pear & Freesia
- Peony & Blush Suede
- Orange Blossom
- Wild Bluebell
- Red Roses
- Earl Grey & Cucumber
- Grapefruit
- Cherry Blossom
- English Pear & Sweet Pea
